Motivational interviewing (MI) is one technique I use weekly when speaking with my clients. A few of you asked me to do a video on MI, so I invite a MI pro and fellow dietitian Katie. For those of you who do not know motivational interviewing is counseling technique that helps people resolve doubtful and mixed feelings in an attempt to help the client find their internal motivation to elicit behavior change. If you are new to the field MI is on skill you will need under your belt.
