At the request of the Baudelaires, Poe tries to bid on the VFD that the children want but gets outbid by one of Olaf's minions. Jerome suddenly appears after a long nap and begins to bid on it leading to Olaf, Larry the Waiter, Jacquelyn, Olivia Caliban, and Jacques Snicket to bid in on it as well.
