With all of the different styles of floorplates available on today's centerfire rifles, it's easy to get confused. Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, provides the viewer with all the necessary information to distinguish one style from another using a Mauser 98 and a pair of Remington 700 rifles. The detachable floorplate is one that, once opened, is completely removed from the rifle as found on the Mauser. A hinged floorplate is one that swings open and remains attached to the rifle such as on a Remington 700 BDL rifle. The blind magazine style rifles utilizes an internal magazine that doesn't protrude through the bottom of the stock, such as the magazine found on a Remington 700 ADL rifle. • For this and other MidwayUSA videos visit the MidwayUSA Video Library: • https://www.midwayusa.com/video-library
