In Demon's Souls, every facet of the game is steeped in mystery. Very little aside from the necessary controls detailed in the sparse tutorial is made explicit. This fact, coupled with the sheer density of secrets, hidden gear, mechanics, and lore makes for a rich and rewarding game that is as much about discovery as anything else. I could write a novel in the description about how much I love this game, and I would never quite be able to get firm grasp on it. It is a game that has to experienced, either through an LP (hint hint) or through playing it yourself. Whatever sorcery is at work making this such wonderful gem, it stands out as being my favorite RPG ever.
