Fittest Man on Earth Jeff Adler kicked off his CrossFit Open by winning the Golden Barbell Throwdown. • Adler, along with Games competitors Brent Fikowski, Alex Gazan, and Alexis Raptis took on three workouts, including Open Workout #24point1, to win a Golden Barbell. • Adler is a five-time Games athlete and the reigning Fittest Man on Earth. He won the CrossFit Open twice — 2021 and 2023. He also won the 2022 CrossFit Atlas Games and the 2023 North America East Semifinals. • Note: During the live announcement of 24.1, CrossFit representatives should have recognized the incorrect start position of the athletes. As a result athletes were assessed a standard false-start penalty of two seconds.
