RC drawing and schedule. • Construction Drawings #08 CAPPING BEAM - REBAR . In today's video we will have a look at the capping beam rebar drawings and we will go through the rebar schedule. You will learn how to read a rebar drawing and what is the meaning of particular lines notes. I will show you drawings made by two designers so you can see how the information might be provided on site. I will go through the legend and notes where you can find the key π to understand the abbreviations and drawing and find information about the steel cover and minimal lapse for rebar depending on the diameter used. I will show you the beam sections and teach you how to read them and how to understand the information provided on them. I am explaining why reading all the drawings together is so important and why you should make sure you have all the information during the works. If it comes to columns starter bars you need to make sure you know everything about it and as you will see in the video one of the designers provides separate drawing for them while the other one uses the same capping beam rebar drawing. These are 2 different approaches and you need to be sure you know everything especially if you will be the one doing the rebar call-offs.
