Someone asked how explain how I use the solunar calendar. First I use USPrimetimes.com. It's a fast simple Web site designed to give you data according to solunar theory and actual field testing in the Arizona and Montana backcountry. • The best way to use Solunar Calendar • -Go to US PrimeTimes. • -type in you zip code, or the zip code of where you will be fishing. • -Click the 30 day table at the top left of screen. • -The higher the bar the better the fishing on that day. • From there pick a day that you plan to go fishing. This give you the specific time best for fishing that day. It will also list why the fishing will be good during those hours. Note how the sun and moon relate. Chances are there will be some confluence between the sun and moon that explain why the fishing will be good then. • The best solunar calendar is US Primetimes. That's all I use. The others don't seem accruate. • Is the solunar calendar fake? No. There is nothing fake about how the movement sun, moon and earth effective tides, and feeding cycles of animals. How many of you eat breakfast, lunch or diner? how did you know when to eat? Probably when the sun came up, when it was directly overhead and when it set. Animals are more attuned because they follow lunar cycles as well. Full moon and new moon, moonrise and moonset, and lunar transit times overhead and underfoot have influence on feeding times just as the sunrise, sunset do. • Solunar Calendar for fishing and the solunar calendar for hunting works the same. You must be in your spots and ready to hunt and fish when the time comes. • What is the Solunar Calendar.
