The Hawker Tempest was an improved Typhoon, first known as the Typhoon II. It was one the most powerful and fastest low-altitude fighters of the war. It was used as an interceptor and strike aircraft and could even intercept Me 262's. Early Tempest V's were fitted with Hispano II that went out in front of the leading edge or the wing, later they were changed to Hispano Mk V's that did not go past the leading edge of the wing. Some earlier Mk V's had 34*11 inch 5 spoke wheels, and later ones received 30*9 4 spoke wheels. There was one Tempest fitted with an experimental 47mm anti-tank gun. Ther is even a picture of it at https://www.quarryhs.co.uk/Pgun.htm. Would be cool to make a recreation of that one. • I think this model kit looks good, I do not think it need a lot of Aftermarket, but there is a correction for the propeller hub, I guess it's wrong, it is from Barracuda Studios, No. BR48399. I would also recommend the exhausts from Quick Boost.QB 48 069. I mentioned some other Aftermarket, but really do not think it is necessary. I think it's a good kit.
