Craft Knife: Ka-Bar USMC Combat Knife • After having read its history and studied its design, I began to try to recreate it with the most typical materials that I have in the backyard of my house. • This knife was widely used by the United States Marine Corps during WWII (adopted in 1942) among other subsequent conflicts. Until today it continues its production in a variety of models. • This replica is more than anything a contribution commemorating this mythical knife. • Some final explanations in the minute 25:05 • I hope it entertained you and that it was to your liking! • OLD Design: https://i.ibb.co/zb3Dr3C/Ka-Bar-Knife... • Design used: https://i.ibb.co/t3gcnWK/Ka-Bar-dise-... • ●Instagram: / leandrogoretta • ●Music: Lazy Walk - Cheel • Specifications: • -Tip: Clip point • -Steel: 5160 • -Total length: 29.4 cm • -Blade length: 17.8 cm • -Handle length: 11.6 cm (including guard and knob) • -Thickness: 4 mm • -Weight: 291 g • -Handle material: Leather • -------------------------------------- • Used tools: • -Press (sergeant) • -A grinder with discs for: cutting and roughing • -Files • -Chisel • -Grain sandpaper: 80, 120, 150 and 280 • -Bank press (in this case home) • -Epoxy resin • -Drill with bits • -Spray paint (opaque black) • -Tempered: double burner forging oven and container with cooking oil • -------------------------------------- • I really appreciate your visit and until next time!
