The last video for this day, and possibly the last from me for a while. CP8700 is leading KCSM4746 on point of this eastbound merchandise train. KCSM4659 is running in mid-train and CP8944 is on the rear. The action is caught at the Silver Sands Road grade crossing, Mile 43.6 of the CPKC Shuswap Subdivision in Sicamous, BC, Canada. • Future videos are being delayed by renovations on the home front and a decrease in rail traffic due to the port labour dispute in British Columbia. When the products are going nowhere, it's pointless to try to stack more in the ports. Domestic traffic and some grain and coal continues to move west. The unloading and storage of bulk commodities is not yet affected by the port dispute, but storage resources are finite. Those coal piles must be getting pretty high by now. • If you go to Google, select Maps and paste in 50°50'25.1 N 118°59'03.5 W you'll see the location of the camera for this video. • Technical: • Recorded with a Canon XA55 4KHD Pro video camera at 1920x1080 resolution and 60 frames per second. It is equipped with an Azden SMX-10 Stereo Microphone mounted inside a Rode Blimp Windshield. A Neewer NW74K 7-Inch 1920x1080 Field Monitor is also used.
