For those who don’t know, The Nevers is an upcoming sci-fi drama that will be airing on HBO later this year. It’s set in a parallel universe where all women have been rendered infertile by an unknown calamity. • • The second part of “The Nevers” Season 1 has not yet been released. There are some clues as to when the remaining six episodes will be available, though. The show hasn’t begun shooting for the second half of its first season yet, and both pre-production and post-production are lengthy processes. The Victorian era setting necessitates collaboration between the costume department and production crew to properly represent it. The latter is due to the science fiction genre of the show that requires post-production work by a special effects team, which can only be completed after filming has ended. The show went through major changes after this season wrapped, as Joss Whedon stepped down in November 2020 and was replaced by Philippa Goslett. Due to the highly significant behind-the-scenes changes, it was initially thought the second half of The Nevers Season 1 might not air before 2022. New conversations with showrunners have since indicated production could resume this spring, which would allow for a potential late 2021 or early 2022 release date.
