Here is how to descale your Keurig Coffee Maker with Vinegar instead of the expensive Keurig Descaling Solution. • NOTE: Make sure you empty the reservoir and refill with fresh water when the Add Water light turns on at the end of Step #2 below. • Instructions: • Step 1: Prepare the Brewer • Remove any K Cups from the unit • Pour entire bottle of vinegar (32 oz) or Keurig Solution into the empty reservoir. • Do not dilute the vinegar • If you use the Keurig Solution, you need to top it off to the top • Place a 10 ounce coffee cup under the dispenser • Step 2: DESCALE • Leave plugged in • Turn the Power off • Press the 10 and 6 Oz buttons at the same time; hold about 3 seconds until the 8 Oz button light flashes • Press the 8 Oz button to make a cup of hot vinegar • When finished, pour into the sink • Repeat a new cup by pressing the 8 Oz button again • Continue (probably 3 cups).
