MXR GT OD Overdrive Pedal Review (mmm...review...) • A green little box. What does it do? Or rather, how well does it do what it does? • The MXR GT OD overdrive is a fairly basic looking pedal, with your regular features. That doesn't mean it can't be good. Personally I like simple and intuitive pedals. Some people like tweaking. I don't. I just want to get on with playing. • Sitting around fiddling with the controls of an overdrive pedal, or any other pedal or effect, just interrupts work flow, and gets in the way of being spontaneous. That's no problem once you get to know a pedal, but I don't like to sit long finding my sound to begin with. • 0:00 Intro • 1:37 Features and what I know about it • 2:12 Other gear I'll be using • 2:54 My clean sound • 3:12 My reference sound • 4:00 MXR everything half way • 5:10 More tone and drive • 6:38 Adding more tone and output • 7:24 Comparing the MXR with my reference • 9:32 Opinion • 9:58 Dropping gain • 11:19 Dropping gain all the way • 12:38 Conclusion • 14:54 Outro Jam • Check out the links below if you want to help the channel: • My Patreon page for music and exclusives: / elmojk • The gear I most often use (the links are affiliate links): https://redir.love/thocf/r8ctceq3i1 • Budget gear I recommend: https://redir.love/thocf/r9mtambedi • (Not so) budget gear I recommend: https://redir.love/thocf/cib9pttb93 • Check out my music on Bandcamp: https://elmojk.bandcamp.com • For official website (and lessons), visit http://elmojk.com • Check out my music on Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2VnLgMs • Facebook: / elmojk • Instagram: / elmojkarjalainen • Twitter: / elmokarjalainen
