In this first of three videos, I will be assembling the Elegoo Smart Robot Car kit. • Robot Car kit provided by Elegoo - https://www.elegoo.com/product/arduin... • Full article at https://dronebotworkshop.com/building... • More articles and tutorials: https://dronebotworkshop.com • Join the conversation on the forum: https://forum.dronebotworkshop.com • Subscribe to the newsletter and stay in touch: https://dronebotworkshop.com/subscribe/ • This is a great kit for beginners and seasoned pros alike, it would also make an ideal project for parents who want to teach their children how to work with electronics. • This robot car kit has the following features: • 4-wheel Arduino-based design • IR Remote Control • Bluetooth Remote Control • Collision Avoidance • Line Following • Rechargeable LiPo batteries • No soldering, drilling, or cutting required • It’s a typical Arduino-based design so even if you aren’t using this specific kit I think you’ll find a lot of useful information for any Arduino robot in this video and the two that follow it. As always there is a corresponding article on the DroneBot Workshop website to help you out. • Because of all of the features of the robot car I’ve decided to split this into three videos and articles. In this video, I will go over the features of the robot car kit and then I’ll show you how to assemble it and give it a quick test. • In the next video, I will show you how to use the IR and Bluetooth remote control. The final video will cover the collision avoidance and line following features. • Here is what will be covered in this first video: • 00:00 - Introduction • 02:29 - Robot Car Kit Unboxing • 07:44 - Elegoo Smart Robot Car features • 09:18 - A look at the individual components • 16:07 - Assembly Introduction • 16:54 - Motor Mounts motors to chassis • 20:53 - L298N Mount • 24:48 - Line Follow Sensor mount • 27:43 - Arduino to top chassis shield • 31:14 - Battery compartment • 33:48 - Servo Motor • 36:09 - Ultrasonic Sensor • 39:47 - Cable wiring • 44:01 - Bluetooth module Tires • 45:07 - Sample Arduino Code • 51:21 - Robot Car Test • This is the first of three videos so stay tuned for the next one.
