BEFORE YOU BEGIN: make sure you've completed the previous lesson! To start this playlist in the recommended sequence, you'll want to start with What's a Seed? - • What's a Seed? • Click SHOW MORE below for fun activities after this lesson and links to Guidepost's offerings! • Plant your own seed and experience germination for yourself! • Materials you will need: • • dry, large dicot bean - pinto, lima, or kidney are recommended • • paper towel • • ziplock plastic bag • • tape • • small pot/cup • • soil to fill the pot/cup • Steps: • 1. Soak 2-3 beans overnight. • 2. The next day, drain the seeds. • 3. Dampen your paper towel and fold it into the plastic bag. • 4. Place seeds along one side of the bag, pressing them against the paper towel. • 5. Seal the bag tightly and hang in a sunlit window using tape. • 6. Draw a picture and write a few sentences describing what you see in your notebook. • 7. Continue to draw a picture and make observations once a day, for a week. • 8.
