Making My Own Hair Products they work

I tried to make my own matte clay pomade, dry shampoo, and eyebrow wax pomade - all from scratch! I love the way that they all turned out, and I like that they are a more natural based product. Unfortunately, the use of beeswax makes some of these products non-vegan formulations. I did notice, during my research, that some hair products contain paraffinum (paraffin wax) - this might be an alternative to add hold, but I'm not sure. The clay pomade I made washed out nicely and doesn't leave too much of an oily residue. I did notice after using it for a few weeks that my hair feels nicely conditioned and softer - the wax, shea butter and jojoba oil all help to condition and moisturize the hair shaft. I've also put the eyebrow wax to use fairly regularly and have great results. The one product I haven't used as much of is the dry shampoo, which I feel like is a bit messy to use, and tends to get onto my clothes and all over my bathroom. • See my video about curling your hair! • Curling My Straight Hair into Ringlets •    • Curling My Straight Hair into Ringlets   • Here is the breakdown of what went into each thing: • MATTE POMADE • (these are approximations and may need experimenting) • 2 tbsp Beeswax • 2 tbsp Jojoba Oil • 1 tbsp Shea Butter (optional substitution: Coconut Oil, with varied results) • 3 tbsp Bentonite Clay Powder (kaolin clay may give different results) • Optional: Essential Oils of your choosing for added fragrance. • *I recommend adding clay in portions and testing a small portion of the product by pouring a few drops onto parchment paper and seeing how the product sets. • DRY SHAMPOO • Arrow Root Starch (easily found in bulk bin section of grocers) • ADD: Cocoa Powder or Black Cocoa Powder to achieve desired tint. • I added approximately 2tsp to the small jars in the video. • EYEBROW WAX • (Approximate measurements) • 2 tbsp Beeswax • 1.5 tbsp Jojoba Oil • 0.5 tbsp Shea Butter • 1 tbsp Bentonite Clay • As all of these products are oil-based (versus water/oil emulsions), they should be relatively stable. However, in the absence of a preservative system, the oils may go rancid or the product may expire. I will update this description with my results, if my products stay stable or spoil in the coming weeks to months. • Here are some articles that I used for reference when starting, but ultimately didn't use their measurements: • How To: Make Your Own Hair Clay, Luca Santangelo •    • How To: Make Your Own Hair Clay   • Non-Greasy Homemade Hair Pomade and Texturizer • https://www.diynatural.com/homemade-p... • Make Your Own All-Natural Hair Pomade • https://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/...
