This traditional South Indian sweet dish is perfect for celebrations and festivals, and we're sure you'll love the rich flavors and creamy texture. • #chakkerapongali #chakkarapongal #sweetpongal #vismaifood • Ingredients Required: • For Rice Cooking: • •1/4 cup Roasted Moong dal • •3/4 cup Rice • •2 cups Water • For jaggery Syrup: • •1.1/4 cups Sudhanya Jaggery Powder • For Chakkera Pongali: • •4 tbsp Ghee • •Jaggery Syrup • •1/4 tsp Cardamom powder • •Pinch Edible Camphor • For Dry Fruits Tadka: • •4 tbsp ghee • •4 tbsp Cashews • •3 tbsp Dry Coconut • •3 tbsp Raisins • Preparation Method: • •Roast Moong Dal on low flame until aromatic • • Add Rice to Moong Dal and wash well. Add 2 cups of water and cook for three whistles • • Melt SUDHANYA Jaggery 1 cup Water • • Pour the syrup in cooked rice and on medium flame. Gradually add ghee and cook until the jaggery syrup absorbs. • • Add Cardamom Powder Edible Camphor • •Melt Ghee add Cashews, Coconut, Raisins.
