The annual temple festival is observed on Thrikarthika day in Vrischikam month and is famous as Kizhoor Karthika Pooram Mahotsavam.Nearly 40 caparisoned elephants participate in the Ezhunellippu on the day. Melam, Nadaswaram and other traditional temple music are part of Kizhoor Karthika Mahotsavam. The important elephants in Kerala participate in the festival.
