President Museveni pledges to support Namugongo project

President Yoweri Museveni has pledged to support the construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure at the Namugongo Catholic martyrs' shrine. Museveni who was addressing the congregation during the Martyrs' day celebrations did not commit any amount to the project. The President's response came after concerns by the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, Cyprian Kizito Lwanga on the sanitation of the ceremonial grounds.
