Skidding logs with my Ford 8N tractor and logging tongs from Amazon. You can get the tongs here: https://amzn.to/2JMsX35 • I spent a lot of time looking for the best deal in tongs for the money. I settled on this one and I am so far very pleased with its quality. The cheaper ones are known to break during use so you have to be careful where you buy them. • I could not get the larger log to roll off my trailer so I decided to just use the tractor to get it done fast. I could have used the lift arm on the trailer but with the weight of this log it would have taken some time inching it slowly off the trailer. Pulling logs onto the trailer with the arm is easy but getting them off is a different story and much harder. • I drove the Ford 8N tractor over and used a chain and logging tongs to simply pull the log right off the trailer with ease. • I love having the right tools and equipment for the job. And this old tractor has so many uses on the homestead. • Thanks for watching.
