Nova Scotia wildfire Residents evacuate as blaze spreads in Tantallon houses engulfed in flames

A number of homes are engulfed in flames in Nova Scotia as a wildfire is rapidly moving through a section of the Halifax suburb of Tantallon and towards neighbouring Hammonds Plains. • At 5:15 p.m. Sunday, an Emergency Alert was issued by the province about an evacuation order for the Westwood Hills subdivision due to “ongoing multiple structures and forest fires.” • There are reports that the number of homes on fire is in double digits.
