Half up is a basic level 2 twisting mount and it is a basic for all the future harder twisting mounts. • Star in a proper half up position. • Back spots, dip with bases, then start lifting flyers ankles straight up. Make sure your are lifting for the whole time (also, when bases are going back to a prep level) to make re grabbing part easier for the bases (slower it is, easier it is for the bases to get a new grip). • Bases, dip low with your legs, keep your chest straight and your arms in a belly button height. Then start shrugging your shoulder and extending your legs at the same time, continue with lifting the flyer straight up while extending arms. • When you are above the head RELEASE WITH YOUR LEFT HAND and re grab to a normal main base grip. Make sure you are holding flyer’s feet with your right hand for the whole time. • Do not release the feet to early, make sure you come above the head first. Also, use your legs to get the height and be stable while stunting. • Flyers, because this is one of the most basic rotations, your technique needs to be on point so all the harder spinning stunts will be easy. • Wait for the bases to dip then explosively extend body, keep your chest up and make sure your legs are extended before your start turning. Try to extend into a 1/4 turn and wait in straight position until bases bring your to the front. • Do not try to spin a lot, you do not have to do a half up on your own. It is really important that the spin is controlled. Also, keep your arms close to the body and pull a high V when you face the front. • Happy stunting! • More content on: • IG - / • https://www.cheer-iq.com/ • E-mail: [email protected]
