After more than a decade, Yamaha has come out with a new 2017 YZF-R6. Sharing the same engine and frame as the old R6, however, what's so new about it? For starters, it's now joined the electronic age with traction control, ride modes, and ABS. Forks are borrowed from the R1, discs are bigger, and the front master cylinder is now Nissin instead of Brembo. It also comes pre-wired for an accessory quickshifter and Yamaha's data acquisition module, the Communication Control Unit (CCU). • But the most obvious change is the bodywork. Inspired by the R1, Yamaha says the R6 is the most aerodynamic production motorcycle it has ever made. So how does it perform?
