Hopkins spends much of the film acting out scenarios of how his murder trial would play out if he killed his wife, with a portrait of his father playing the judge. He goes through different methods of killing her, and acts out the trial until he finds fault with his plan. There is no other information about the edition on the cover art. The DVD transfer is so bad that you can barely see it. The low price ($2 + tax) is no excuse for a shoddy job. This is very unfortunate because the film is excellent, as far as murder mysteries go. I give it top marks for story and acting. I'm sure there were other production values such as cinematography, sound and production design, but I can't rate them because of the poor video and audio quality. I'd like to know what edits other critics rated.
