This summer, I had the pleasure of marrying the love of my life, Colette, in a wonderfully quaint venue in the heart of County Leitrim. The venue was perfect for us, and the location, hosts, and guests couldn't have been better. I took some time out of my morning routine to capture some drone footage, and I think it's only appropriate that I do something with it to commemorate the occasion! • Thanks to Julie, Pat, their family, and staff for the day and for allowing me to upload this video. • The Old Rectory Country House in Leitrim is a beautifully restored Georgian house from 1827. It is nestled among mature oaks and beeches, some as old as the house itself, and overlooks the serene Fenagh Lake. This hidden gem is located in the heart of County Leitrim, near the medieval Fenagh Abbey, established by St. Cillian in the 12th century, with an older abbey likely built much later. St. Catherine’s Church, constructed between 1792 and 1802, adds to the area’s rich history. The village of Fenagh is surrounded by numerous Neolithic monuments, including court tombs or Giant’s Grave dating back to around 4000 BCE, portal dolmens from 4000-2500 BCE, and various standing stones, which give the townland its name, ‘Longstones’. This is just a short summary but Fenagh is well worth a visit. • Music from #Uppbeat • https://uppbeat.io/t/ben-mcelroy/moving-to... • License code: S7SXTARSQWBYG1DD
