Happy Fall Equinox! 🍃🍁🍂 • John Coltrane was born on September 23, 1926, this happened to be day of the Autumnal Equinox for that year. Here is a sample of me playing the bass line to the 1964 version of “Equinox” which appears on the album ‘Coltrane’s Sound.’ The song itself was recorded during recording sessions from October 1960, and features McCoy Tyner on Piano, Steve Davis on Bass, and Elvin Jones on Drums • I’ve had an absolutely joyous Summer, but I am equally looking forward to the change of season and all the things that make the fall a special time of year! • #happy #fall #autumn #equinox #jazz #jazzbass #bass #uprightbass
