When Saddam Hussein launched a chemical attack on Halabja in the closing months of the Iran Iraq war it devastated the city, killing at least 5,000 people. Many injured and orphaned children were taken over the border to Iran for safety and treatment for the effects of poison gas. Now one of those children has returned to Iraq, almost thirty years later, to try and find the family she lost. BBC Persian’s Jiyar Gol travelled to Halabja for Our World to follow her remarkable story. • Credits: Produced, Directed and Filmed: Jiyar Gol • Edit Producer: Harriet Shawcross • Edited: Mike Latham • These are the times when you can watch the full film on BBC News • News Channel http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06q770n - http://bbc.in/1OEk1aZ • BBC World http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/n3csy4kt http://bbc.in/1kp9GDd • • Subscribe to BBC News HERE http://bit.ly/1rbfUog • Check out our website: http://www.bbc.com/news • Facebook: / bbcworldnews • Twitter: / bbcworld • Instagram: / bbcnews
