I show how to make a simple high power LED driver, for LEDs ranging from 1 Watt to 40 Watts. You can adjust this driver by changing a potentiometer. • Link to the video of the LED driver working: http://bit.ly/17Lfx7l • Link to LM317 resistor value calculator: http://bit.ly/1eZxqd • To set up the driver for an LED you first figure out what voltage the LED is rated for. Then you connect the output leads from the led to a volt meter and adjust the driver to the proper voltage. DO NOT EXCEED THE RATED VOLTAGE FOR THE LED, OR IT WILL BURN OUT! Once you have the driver set then you can connect your led. This driver is dimable, you can connect another variable resistor between Vout and the positive lead of your LED to dim the LED, or you can use the resistor in the circuit, If you do that latter then be sure to NOT EXCEED the rated voltage of the led when brightening it. So the first way of dimming is what I recommend.
