RAMCO Cements Limited • The Ramco Cements Limited launches Ramco Supercrete Cement – High Strength cement for Crack-Free concrete in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana • The Ramco Cements Limited, India’s pioneers in the cement industry, launched Ramco Supercrete cement, the environment friendly and high strength cement for crack-free concrete in Andhra Pradesh and Telanagna. • With the launch of Ramco Supercrete cement, the new premium blended cement, Ramco becomes the complete cement solutions provider. Ramco Supercrete cement will meet the requirements of all consumers and specifiers who prefer higher grades of concrete as it not only provides excellent strength but excellent durability too. • “The new premium blended cement is also compatible with M-sand. Ramco Supercrete cement, which is an excellent alternative to OPC 53 grade cement, comes in BOPP bags that ensure no spillage” said Mr.Balaji K Moorthy, Executive Director (Marketing). • Ramco Supercrete cement was launched in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after the successful entry into Tamil Nadu and Kerala markets with the objective of segmenting the market and focusing on RIGHT PRODUCT FOR RIGHT APPLICATION, he added. Ramco Supercrete cement has been well accepted in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. • Consumers and specifiers have a tendency to depend on OPC 53 grade cement for higher grades of concrete. RAMCO Supercrete cement provides an excellent alternative for 53 grade and is environment-friendly too. • Ramco Cements Limited is setting up a 3.15 MTPA green field cement plant in Kalavatala Village, Kolimagandla Mandal, Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of around Rs.1500 crores. With this the capacity in Andhra Pradesh will be close to 10 MTPA, making the company the largest Cement Manufacturer in Andhra Pradesh. • The company is also investing Rs.2500 crores in its grinding capacity in the state. Total capex including these projects would be around Rs.3430 crores and the upcoming project is expected to generate direct employment of 300 people and indirect employment of around 1000 people. • In 1998 Ramco launched Ramco Supergrade, and Ramco Supersteel cement in 2000, both of which were blended cements that received excellent response from dealers and customers. Both the cements gained reputation for creating highly durable structures. Ramco Supergrade is GreenPro certified by Confederation of Indian Industry and the company’s Alathiyur factory received the Four leaves award from the Ministry and Science and Environment, Government of India.
