For the past few weeks, my mom has been asking me to make green peas pulao for her since it's one of her favourite dishes. So, I decided to oblige her and make matar pulao for this week's video. Just watch the video to learn how to make restaurant style green peas pulao at home. You can also follow the recipe given below: • Ingredients • Ghee - 2 tbsp • Basmati Rice - 2 Cups • Water - 3 Cups • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp • Cloves - 4 • Cardamom - 3 • Black Peppercorns - 8 • Cinnamon - 1 inch piece • Onion (sliced) - 1 • Green Chilli (slit) - 1 • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp • Green Peas - 1 cup • Salt to taste • Method • Soak the basmati rice for 1 minute and keep aside • In a pan, heat 2 tbsp ghee • To this, add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon, peppercorns, and cardamom, and saute for a minute • Add Onions and saute till translucent • Then add ginger garlic paste and green chilli and saute for 2 minutes • Next add peas and saute for a minute • To this, add the soaked basmati rice and saute for 2 minutes on medium heat • Add 3 cups water and salt to taste. Mix well. • Cover and cook on low heat for 25 minutes or till rice is well done.
