Watch as Better Homes and Gardens shows you how to paint cabinets! Give outdated cabinets a new look with a fresh coat of paint. Do it yourself with a deglosser, work gloves, high-density foam rollers, a paint brush, oil-based bonding primer, 220 grit sandpaper soft rugs, and cabinet paint. Begin by removing the doors, hinges, and hardware from the cabinets. Wipe all of the cabinetry with deglosser to prep them, following package directions closely. Lightly sand high-glass cabinets. Wipe away dust with a damp cloth. Apply a quality, stain-blocking, oil-based bonding primer with a paint brush or roller. Sand after following the package directions for drying. Proceed painting cabinets twice, letting them dry in between coats. Don't overbrush. allow all cabinetry to dry before reinstalling hinges and hardware. Kitchen remodeling or bathroom remodeling can be drastic with just a couple of coats of fresh paint!
