Did you know perimenopause most commonly begins in women between 40 and 45? 🤔 I had NO idea when I was that age… • All of these symptoms (and many more) were popping up out of nowhere for me and I was terrified. Now at 53, I can look back on that time and realize that it wasn’t just a busy work schedule that was causing this… it was perimenopause! • A doctor put me on anti-depressants, and while there’s absolutely no shame in that, I knew in my gut that it was the wrong diagnosis. For years I began tracking my symptoms on a piece of paper, just writing it down so I could show up to my doctor’s appointments armed. • Many of the doctors and OBGYNs I’ve spoken to say they learned next to nothing about perimenopause and menopause in school. Can you believe that?! And while many doctors are educating themselves and doing the necessary research now, I receive messages almost daily from women that their doctors didn’t listen or take their concerns seriously. You MUST advocate for yourself, because at the end of the day you know your body best. • My biggest advice when talking to your doctor about your symptoms is show up prepared. I’ve created a downloadable tracker that’s very similar to the one I used in my 40s, so you can use for your own journey! • Download my symptom tracker here: https://www.tamsenfadal.com/menopause... • -------------------------------------- • To PREORDER my new book, How To Menopause, Take Charge of Your Health, Reclaim Your Life and Feel Even Better Than Before https://www.tamsenfadal.com/howtomeno... • If you are trying to figure out if you are in perimenopause, download our free symptom tracker! https://www.tamsenfadal.com/menopause... • If you want to host a screening for my Menopause Documentary: The M Factor, Shredding the Silence on Menopause, send us a note: • https://www.tamsenfadal.com/the-m-factor • Subscribe to my channel: / tamsenfadaltv • Looking for my Amazon Storefront? https://www.amazon.com/shop/tamsenfadal • If you want information on what supplements I use, my workouts in midlife and advice for living your best life at any age, here is a link to my blog where you can look up advice and inspiration: https://www.tamsenfadal.com/blog • Medical Disclaimer: • This content is for educational purposes only and is not medical advice.
