RHV is a class D airport with a control tower. Therefore, prior to takeoff you must call the tower to obtain takeoff clearance. The controller is fairly busy and we wait a little while for a chance to transmit. We say that we are ready for takeoff and the controller tells us to cross runway 31R and hold short of runway 31L. RHV has two parallel runways and we wait in between the two runways. A new controller then clears us for takeoff on runway 31L. • Learn to Fly at http://www.FlywithB.com/
