Some commuters have experienced challenges at the OR Tambo international airport as day 2 of the strike action sees flight disruptions. Pilots affiliated to the SAA Pilots Association (SAAPA) and the National Transport Movement Pilots Forum continuing with their strike action downing tools over wages on day 2. The pilots are demanding a 15% wage increase coupled with benefits while SAA is offering 8%. South African Airways says it has cancelled flights including to Perth in Australia and Sao Paulo, Brazil with disruptions to the Cape Town line due to the strike action.
