Then it's time to install a 30 amp RV outlet onto your home! With a receptacle that matches the amperage rating of your RV you'll be able to run high draw appliances without having to worry about tripping circuit breakers. • For those of you with 50 amp RV's, keep in mind that the installation process is not the same for a 50 amp outlet. 50 amp RV outlets require a different circuit breaker as well as different wiring. However, I still recommend watching the video as there are tips and tricks shown on how to trim around the receptacle box for a professional finished look, general home electrical panel wiring tips, and steps on how to test the new RV receptacle when finished. • The total cost of this RV project was only about $60 and can be done in an afternoon. However, be sure to consult a licensed electrician before taking on a job like this.
