Passing motorists leaned on their horns as Boeing machinists staked out the street corners to form their picket lines, vowing to stay on strike until the aerospace giant met their demands. • More than 30,000 Boeing employees voted to reject the company's latest contract offer Thursday evening, leading to a strike that began at midnight on Friday. • The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers said its members voted 94.6% to reject the contract which would have raised pay 25% over four years.
