Cargolux 747 Loses Landing Gear While Landing

On Sunday evening, 14 May. A Cargolux Boeing 747-400 • cargo plane lost part of its main landing gear. The 747-400 took off from Luxembourg Airport to Chicago ORD but the crew informed ATC of a malfunction. The aircraft (reg. LX-OCV) climbed to 10,000 ft to dump fuel then returned to Luxembourg Airport for an emergency landing.
