We headed back out for some Texas public land duck hunting on our second day in the lone star state and we're hopeful to get our first pintails of the trip in a shallow smartweed slough we had found. We setup in the bulrushes with a spread of just a couple dozen duck floaters and before shooting light we had pintails flying everywhere. We took our time picking off a mixed bag of pintails, mallards, shovelers, and teal over the decoys and Wade made quick work of the retrieves in the skinny water.
