Wake up 40-50mins before sunrise. Followed by brushing - oral hygiene. • 3. Excretion must be natural. ( Don’t spend too much time in the washroom - not good to take phones/books etc. ) • 4. Do some Sharira Chintana(listening to your body and being a better observer) • 5. Other things to do : • Nitya Nasya Karma ( Nasal drop application - 2 drops each nostril - improves our strength in the region above neck ) • Kavala Gandusha (Oil Pulling) - with 2-3 tsps of any natural cold pressed oil. • Abhyanga ( Full Body Massage ) - 15 min at least - works on all levels : body, mind, immunity, cardio vascular health and more. • ( Check the video on how to do abhyanga - 13min onwards in video ) • Shiroabhyanga ( Head Massage ) - reduces stress and improves our sensory functions- upward to downward direction • Padaabhyanga ( Foot Massage ) - helps improve sleep quality • Udvartana - Dry Powder Scrubbing ( Besan or Triphala Powder ) - can be done once a week - especially helpful for obese people. • 6. After Abhyanga is the time for vyayama, for yoga. • 7. After yoga go for a warm water shower (not hot). • 8. Ayurveda suggests Dwi ana kala( 2 meals a day ) • 9. Evening time is great for meditation and chintana( Me Time ). It is Vata Dosha Kala - we may feel dull or low. These activites will help. • 10. Have an Early Dinner ( Sun comes up our agni digestive power goes up, sun goes down - agni goes down). Best to finish dinner before sunset or at least by 7:30 or 8 pm. • 11. You can have milk 1.5 hrs after dinner and keep a gap of at least 40-45 min between milk and sleep. ( Hot water can be had instead of milk if you have issues with digestion)
