But I don't get the whole point a parameter to an input thing... • No problem, check out this video from Rockwell Automation: • PowerFlex 750-Series Drives I/O Setup • **Note, the video is for the 753/755, the 755TS has different parameters--covered below** • 00:00 Intro • 00:10 About HOA switches and 750-series drive • 01:01 HOA Basic Control • 02:36 HOA Switch with Auto/Manual (speed control) • 03:37 Important Notes • To Program a 753/755 for Hand-Off-Auto control with no local speed control: • Set parameter 176, HOA Start, to your preferred start input • Set parameter 158, DI Stop, to your preferred stop input • **Be sure to leave the other start parameters--such as P161--disabled or a configuration error will result. • This will switch between two start sources that control the Drive by way of the same digital inputs. • To Program a 753/755 for Hand-Off-Auto Control with local speed control: • Set P176 to your digital start input. • set P158 to your digital stop input. • Set P172, DI manual control, to the digital input you will use to indicate the use of the hand mode speed source • Set P563, DI manual reference select, to your preferred speed source when in hand mode. • To Program the 755TS for Hand-Off-Auto Control with local speed control: • Set Parameter 118, DI M HOA Start, to your preferred start digital input. • Set Parameter 108, DI M Stop, to your preferred stop input. • Set parameter 147, DI manual reference select, to your preferred speed source when in hand mode. • Set P132, DI M Manual Control, to your preferred speed source, when in hand mode. • (You don't need to change P147/P132 if you don't want local speed control)
