Longest Total Solar Eclipse 1991 July 11th on the Big island of Hawaii

This was taken several miles south of the ideal centerline path, on the west side of the island facing east The centerline site was overcast and unfortunately the large number of people stationed and camping there saw none of it. As a result the elapsed time was just a little over 4 minutes instead of nearly 7 minutes. Two cameras one still and one video were mounted on the cheap tripod, so sorry for all of the wiggles, plus was watching it so much I forgot to keep everything centered. On the ideal path, this was one of the longest total eclipse's with next one that is longer coming June 13, 2132. Note the very large flare on top near the end. More information is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_ec... . The thumbnail for this video is a still photo taking with the other camera on the tripod. It captured the much dimmer corona around the sun. The shape of the corona did not change visibly during the eclipse. • This is my new video of the August 21, 2017 total eclipse    • 360 view total solar eclipse experien...   in central Oregon.
