In this video we go through the basics of connecting an analog 10 channel audio mixer (Yamaha MG10) into a powered speaker (Yamaha DXR12). We then connect a microphone (Shure SM58) and headphone cable so we can connect a phone. • Starting with the basics, we like to always verify that we have a good power source at the venue before running any XLR or signal cable. Once the mixer is powered on, we check that the speaker also has a reliable power source. • Once the mixer and the speaker are powered on, we run the signal cable to connect the two.
