This video is intended for students in the common core of Geology, or any other interested public (high school students for example). • It explains in a very simple way how to identify the fossils of Annelids (animals of the Invertebrate type). The illustration image represents a bivalve shell (an oyster) colonized by sedentary annelids, serpules. • Indeed, Annelids are generally represented by ichnofossils (= traces of activities such as traces of movement, places of habitat). • This video was put online as part of the 2nd year Paleontology practical work of the STU License at the University of Guelma in Algeria (Teacher: Ms. Ruault-Djerrab). • Video highlights: • from 0'07'': Presentation (description, living environment, stratigraphic distribution) • from 1'16'': Some examples of fossils (traces of displacement, tubes of sedentary annelids). • For more details on sedimentary geology, consult the site: http://djerrab-geologie-guelma.e-mons... • (you will find courses to download, exercises...) • To see all the photos featured in my videos (and more), check out my new photo site: https://adjerrab.wixsite.com/photo-ge...
