What a brilliant film!! Ever since I first watched it, it became one of my all time favourites! Don't get me wrong, I love the first film, but because of this scene, my (at the time) 8 year old brain ranked it higher! • The chase itself is great, but when combined with Bonnie Tyler's 'Holding out for a Hero'… it became EPIC!! This was how I was originally introduced to Bonnie Tyler; because of that, I have always associated her this song with this film. • For many years I believed that the music in the film was a special edit, exclusively made for the film. On the CD my Sister owned (track length - 4:25), there are parts that aren’t included in the song that are on the film; my child brain couldn’t comprehend that there might be multiple versions… • Skipping forward quite a few years, I was shopping, this song happened to be playing in the background. I was mouthing along with the words not fully paying attention to the song when I was physically stopped in my tracks; this song, which I loved, that I knew inside-out, was different! After I got home, I started searching! Since I already had my Sister's CD, I never thought to look for the song on iTunes. • Almost immediately I found the song (track length - 5:50) purchased it :-) • After listening to the song, a little voice in the back of my head challenged me… Could I recreate the version that is played in the film? • This took SO many hours, trying to edit down a '5:50' song to fit correctly inside a '3:47' long clip wasn’t easy!
