Just follow the instructions! • How to do a live show on Youtube. • 1. Log into your gmail account. • 2. Log into your youtube account. • 3. Click on your icon in the top right hand corner. • 4. Click on CREATOR STUDIO. • 5. Click on LIVE STREAMING on the left hand side in the margin area. • 6. Click on EVENTS. • 7. Click on NEW LIVE EVENT in the top right hand corner. • 8. Title your video. • 9. Enter the date and time you’d like to start your show. • 10. Add any relevant information, like links to the other hosts/guest and links to whatever you’ll be discussing, plus your own links to your twitter, instagram, facebook pages, etc. • 11. Change the setting on the right from PRIVATE to UNLISTED. • 12. If you want to start now then Click GO LIVE NOW • 13. If you are scheduled to live now you’ll get this message: • Ready to go! • You will now enter a Google Hangout On Air so you can stream live from your webcam. If you meant to schedule your live event for later, please click Cancel and edit your event time. • • 14. If you scheduled your show for later click CREATE EVENT. • 15. Youtube will then take you to: • https://www.youtube.com/my_live_event... • 16. This will show you a menu of all future scheduled shows. • 17. Click on START HANGOUT ON AIR. • 18. Your Google Hangout window will then open. • 19. It will take a minute or two to load. At the bottom of the screen a percentage number will start counting up to 100%.When it’s done a green START BROADCAST button will appear at the bottom center of your screen. Don’t click that until you’r ready. • 20. If you’re alone you are ready to go. • Promote the show before going live! • 21. To promote your show, first you need to make sure you have the link to the video. Go back to your menu: • https://www.youtube.com/my_live_event... • Click on the title of the video. Click the URL and share that via Twitter, Facebook, email, whatever. • Invite friends to join the chat with you? • Go back to your Google hangout video. You should be able to see your self being broadcast. Move your mouse around to the top above your head. 6 icons will appear. The one on the far left will look like a person’s silhouette with a plus sign on it. Click that. • A box will open up. At the top it will say: “Share the permanent link. Bookmark and come back anytime.“ • Copy that link and send it to your guests/co-hosts. I like doing this via Facebook. But Private messages on Twitter or an email are fine too. • Wait until your guests,etc. have arrived. Do a mic test, etc. Play around with the various applications/plug-ins inside of Google plus. • When you’re ready.
