How to design a differential amplifier with a single-stage matched BJT transistors to achieve a desired differential voltage gain? How to find the proper DC bias currents and voltages for transistors? How to find the required values of components in this circuit? These questions are discussed and answered in this differential amplifier design tutorial video. For more Analog circuit examples see • Electrical Engineering, Analog, Digit... . This single-stage analog amplifier is implemented with a pair of matched Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJT) with a common emitter connected to the drain of a current source implemented with one N-channel Junction Field Effect Transistor (JFET). Both DC bias analysis and small signal AC analysis are presented in this video. The proper choice of gate-source and gate-drain voltages for the N-ch JFET are also discussed to make sure JFET is biased in proper section of transistor I-V curve to operate as a current source for this difference amplifier.
