Christmas time has come to Hong Kong Disneyland. While the rest of the park mostly features Mickey and Friends in Christmas outfits (or Duffy Friends), there are some very special characters appearing in Fantasyland this Christmas. HKDL has announced that Miguel from Disney Pixar's Coco will be meeting for the entire Christmas. This is a very welcoming addition as Follow Your Dreams is currently not performing so guests still have a chance to meet him. Miguel's meet and greet is located next to the entrance of Mickey's Philharmagic (Is that sort of a foreshadowing that we are getting the Coco scene like other parks?). On the other hand, Esmeralda from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame is also meeting guests in Fantasyland. This addition is not mentioned by HKDL, but we fans are really delighted. Esmeralda and other characters from The Hunchback of Notre Dame are VERY RARE characters in all Disney parks. So far, the only character I have met before is Frollo. Now, Esmeralda is meeting ALMOST every day since the first week of the Xmas event. It's really wonderful that Hong Kong Disneyland is featuring more Disney Classic characters around Fantasyland rather than just focusing on Mickey and Friends again (Not like Fantasy Gardens Wintertime Market...). I really hope more characters would be added to Fantasyland soon. Esmeralda's meet and greet is located at the exit of Mickey's Philharmagic, next to Merlin's Treasures. That's a really hidden location, so you might want to keep an eye out when you pass by. As both characters are really special, I definitely recommend everyone to go meet them when you see them. However, please note that only Miguel's greeting schedule is listed on the park website. Esmeralda's schedule is not listed, and is also really uncertain as she may not come out EVERY day.
