It was for an elective class I was taking while getting my associates in business. We didn’t learn about storyboard, storytelling, scripts, shot list, camera work, pre production, production, or post production. The only thing we learned was about the history of film. • Big thanks to everyone who helped me make this movie come to life. I didn't have the best of luck shooting this film so I'm even more thankful for everyone sticking through the whole chaos. We'd all kept joking about how the movie was cursed because each day we were shooting there was a plot twist to what we had planned for that day. • First day of shooting started off well until we reached the second scene of the day. That's when we lost Nate (Christian Denis) for 8 hours. He had gone to pick up a sweater on his speed bike and he just disappeared on his way back. We couldn't shoot the scenes without him and we had to find him. We called and checked every police station hospital and local hotels, but nothing until 11 pm at night we get a call from the police station and it was him! He had gotten arrested. Thank the lord he's okay, at that point we had thought he was killed in an accident or kidnapped. As we head back to our cars, we come to find out that someone had stolen one of the actors (Armando Saballos) side mirrors. • Second day of shooting started off well, until I get a call from my girlfriend (Jennifer Rodriguez) she had gotten into a bad car accident and I had to cancel the rest of the shoot and rush over to her. Luckily after hours at the hospital, they treated her and gave her a cast for her left wrist. With time it healed thankfully. • The rest of the other 2 days of shooting were just rushed with fitting everyone's schedules together, getting the weather to cooperate with what we had to shoot, and finding someone to lend me a warehouse for the ending scene. • At this point I only had 2 days to learn how to use premier pro/ after effects and edit the film in between work and school to get the movie done by the dead line. Luckily I was able to make things work with what I had and finished the morning of the due date. This was a film class project in Miami Dade College. This is my first short film, first time using premiere pro as well as my first time using after effects. Luckily I've learned a lot from this film and tend to use all my new knowledge to make better work.
