This video demonstrates how to carry out back titration calculations. Back titrations are used to investigate insoluble substances. The substances are reacted with known excess of an acid/alkali and the excess is then titrated. By knowing how much was added initially and what excess is present after reaction the number of moles that react can then be used to work backwards to find out about the substance being investigated. • • ----------------RELATED VIDEOS ---------------- • Advanced Higher Stoichiometry    • Advanced Higher: Stoichiometry   • Chemical Technique Titration    • Chemical Technique: Titration   • National 5 Titration Practice Questions    • National 5: Titration Calculation Pra...   • Higher Redox    • Higher: Redox   • Titration calculations    • National 5: Titration calculations: T...   • • • Welcome to Miss Adams Chemistry! • This channel is dedicated to tutorials and lessons covering the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence Qualifications in Chemistry.
