In contrast, fungi that can adopt a single-celled growth habit are called yeasts. • Molds are a large and taxonomically diverse number of fungal species in which the growth of hyphae results in discoloration and a fuzzy appearance, especially on food. The network of these tubular branching hyphae, called a mycelium, is considered a single organism. The hyphae are generally transparent, so the mycelium appears like very fine, fluffy white threads over the surface. • What to do with bread once you notice mold on it is a common household dilemma. • You want to be safe but not needlessly wasteful. • You may wonder whether the fuzzy spots of mold are safe to eat, can simply be scraped off, or whether the rest of the loaf is safe to eat if it doesn’t have visible mold. • Watch this video to find out more if it is safe to eat moldy bread. • Subscribe ► http://bit.ly/1nFP2OT • Share on Facebook ► https://cutt.ly/Mw2EUm6 • Tweet this ► https://cutt.ly/tw2EDfQ • Credits: • • This is what happens to bread in water • YouTube: GPhase • Music: Spirals 2 by Tom Quick • Thank you for watching. • Don't forget to comment, rate, and share this video. • Subscribe for more videos from ZoneA.
